Sirkar & Sons was modestly started in Mumbai by the grandson of Late M.B.Sirkar, Mr. M.M. Sirkar at Ghatkopar east with his wife Mrs. Ranu Sirkar. The humble business is now being run by their son Mr. Sutapaj Sirkar and his wife Mrs. Sonam Sirkar under the helpful guidance of Mr. M.M. Sirkar.
we specialize in making traditional Bengal jewellery. The nakshi, the filigree, the tarer kaaj and of course diamond and studded jewellery. Light weight jewellery is our speciality, necklaces weigh as light as ten grams(the least), lac filled bala can be made as light as 20gms for a pair, a pair of choor for 25gms and bangles for 16gms a pair. We make bracelets that can be worn as a choker too or a delicate hath padda that can be worn as a neckpiece.
The company works on a very different principle as compared to competing businesses. Their fundamental runs on the idea of customizing every piece of jewellery to suit the customers needs and taste and hence it stands apart from others where though customers do get a choice of what they want from readily available stock, they don’t get a choice to modify, customize the same piece to suit their likes.
Quality has always been a major focus for the business and that is probably the reason that we were among the first batch of jewelers to have enrolled and received the license from Bureau of Indian Standards as Jewellers providing Hallmarked Jewellery!
